CWU SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

Providing a focal point for orchestral music at CWU is the University Orchestra. Dr. Nik Caoile, director of orchestras, is committed to providing diverse programming for students, with experiences ranging from small ensembles to full symphonic instrumentation.

The University Orchestra has performed at the Washington Music Educators Association conference. Collaborations with the choral/voice program include the Brahms German Requiem, Mozart Requiem, Carmina Burana, Handel Messiah, Verdi Stabat Mater, as well as a full-scale production of Mozart's opera The Magic Flute. Participants include music majors as well as non-majors.
